Couples* looking for a suitably romantic event to mark St Valentine's Say could do much worse than head to the Grainstore Gallery on Harbour Street this evening, where Italian harpist Adriano Sangineto will be performing a set of traditional and contemporary Italian music.

"What could be more romantic?" asks Gallery owner Donna Demente. "Adriano is one third of the Ensemble Sangineto, who wowed us with their extraordinary show last year, an absolute highlight of our performances to date. This will be wonderful!"

Sangineto's Creative Harp show plays with peoples' expectations of the Celtic harp, resulting in what Sangieto calls "a multisensory journey, intertwining rhythm, melody, and evocative motifs, guiding listeners through unanticipated sonic landscapes".

It's a show he's taken all over the world, from Europe to the the United States, Australia, Russia and China, and it's a rare opportunity to watch someone who's graced the stage at many major Celtic harp festivals perform in an intimate venue.

The show starts at 8pm, with doors open from 7.30pm. Tickets are $20 from Under the Radar or $25 at the door. Text to 0273666201 to reserve tickets.

*singles also welcome.
