The opportunity has arisen for a Charge Medical Imaging Technologist - General & CT to join our Radiology team in a leadership role, working with the Clinical Director, Quality Manager and other management to provide efficient, effective and safe services at Oamaru Hospital:


THE ROLE:

Your primary responsibility will be to: 

  • undertake imaging services according to service standards and protocols.
  • supervise Medical Imaging Technologists, and the Radiology Team.
  • drive continuous improvement in inpatient, outpatient, and community care outcomes.
  • oversee and effectively utilise resources in the day-to-day provision of Radiological services.
  • fulfil annual requirements of the MRTB to remain registered within scope of practice.
  • maintain Quality Systems


ABOUT YOU: 

The successful applicant will:

  • be an accredited General & CT Radiographer with minimum 3-5 years clinical experience.
  • hold Registration with the NZ MRTB and a current APC.
  • demonstrate expert technical skills and knowledge of CT.
  • be proficient in the use of Radiology computer systems.
  • have previous team leadership experience including mentoring, rostering and performance management.
  • have quality management knowledge and experience including IANZ accreditation, audits and management meetings.
  • have proven skills as a leader, coach, and role model.
  • have proven ability to effectively manage, plan and co-ordinate workload.
