For those who always have a lot to say about the Waitaki District Council, now they can make it official.
The annual Waitaki Residents’ Survey opened on Saturday and will close on Sunday, July 14.
The survey is an opportunity for Waitaki residents to provide feedback on all aspects of the council’s work over the last 12 months, the council said in a statement.
There is a change to how the survey is being conducted this year. In the past, residents on the electoral roll were randomly selected to complete the survey.
This year it is open to all residents who live in the district, to give everyone an equal opportunity to participate.
This means all ages can have their say, including under-18s, giving a wider demographic range for feedback, the council said.
Community members will be able to have their say at the Let’s Talk Waitaki online engagement hub, and will need to provide their name and address to go into the draw to win a $500 Prezzy Card, with a limit of one entry per person.
The survey is a useful way for the council to compare its performance against last year’s results, which helps inform performance measures in its annual report.
It will also provide valuable feedback for the transformation programme, the council said.
