A two-vehicle crash south of Ōamaru has temporarily closed State Highway One (Oamaru-Alma Road) this morning.

Police were called to the crash, near the intersection with Browns Road, at about 9am (Monday, January 29). 

The Serious Crash Unit has been advised, and the road is likely to remain closed for some hours, a police media statement said.

Diversions are in place and motorists should expect delays.
