Jeremy Callander – or just Jeremy to those in the know – brings decades of songwriting soul to the stage, shaped by a life spent soaking up the sounds of Simon & Garfunkel and Bob Dylan, before taking a detour through Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Mark Knopfler and Johnny Cash. Somewhere in the mix is the haunting brilliance of NZ’s own Derek Lind – and you can hear all those threads weaving through Jeremy’s sound.

A veteran of Dunedin’s music scene in his twenties, Jeremy stepped back from the stage for a time, trading the rock ‘n’ roll dream for family life and a steady paycheque. But lucky for us, the music never truly let go. Now, with a brand-new record Shadows in the Shade – recorded with Matt Thompson at Saffron Park Studio and mixed/mastered by two-time Grammy nominee Aaron Glemboski – Jeremy is back, and better than ever.

He played a stunning set at the end of May and left us all wanting more.
