Zara's Weekly What's on Guide

There’s plenty happening around Waitaki this week. Here’s my guide to what’s on, for you!

Whether you’re after something lively, low-key, or just a good excuse to get out…check out these picks.

There's no better way to spend a Saturday evening than at a live music gig with a group of mates and an adult beverage.

The question is…which gig do YOU choose?

NZ’s Award-winning hit tribute show “Elton John vs. Billy Joel” are returning to Oamaru Opera House Saturday 11th October as part of their NZ-wide tour!

Join Cam and Sam for an intimate night out as they wow audiences both young and old.

This amazing piano man extravaganza features astonishing costumes, two grand pianos in black and white, a lighting show plus plenty of banter and all the songs you love.

In keeping with great rock'n'roll, Lord Rochester is hitting the Penguin Club.

Always entertaining and forever stylish, the band can bewitch an audience, large or small.

The band's three-piece line-up includes Russell Wilkins (The Milkshakes, The Delmonas, The Len Bright Combo and The Wildebeests) on Gretsch Electromatic Guitar (yes – the red rectangle!), vocals and harmonica, Saskia Holling (Sally Skull, The Nettelles and Thee Girl Fridays) on bass and vocals, and – for this tour only – Ōamaru legend Martin "Robot Man" Horspool (Durty Murdur) on drums.

Harbour Beat Band are a four piece from Oamaru, North Otago, ready to make your night a success with a host of classic covers down at Scotts Brewing Co.
