Weston Playcentre had a stonkingly good fundraiser, we saw the opening of a new Pacific Community Hub, some "cool" new initiatives from Council and loads more.

Alex and I were privileged to be invited to the Oamaru Pacific Island Community Group's official opening and were blown away by the story. The new Pacific Community Hub has been 36 years in the making and there's just so much behind it, I hope you get a feel for how momentous it is - Pacific Community Hub opening tells a powerful story of transformation in Waitaki.

We were saddened to learn that Keith Marshall is passing on the baton but we are incredibly grateful for his service - Ōamaru Hospital chief will miss 'passion and commitment' of staff.

Council brought over 40 local stakeholders together this week to discuss CBD revitalisation with a whole new approach and people loved it - New way of working to ensure progress for Ōamaru town centre.
