Although wet weather washed out Friday’s Garden Party and Promenade, the sun shone on the final offerings of Heritage Celebrations Week - the Grand Parade and Victorian Fete.
The Whitestone Civic Trust ran a smaller-scale fete than previous years on the Sunday, with a stronger focus on entertainment and fun, but fewer stalls did not deter those who crowded Harbour St for the festivities, while Saturday’s Grand Parade drew crowds of participants and spectators alike.
