A strong wind warning is in place for Coastal Otago and Clutha tomorrow afternoon.

Severe southwesterly gales are forecast across the region, with the wind watch in place from 3pm Saturday to midday on Sunday.

A cold front is likely to bring the strong winds across much of New Zealand on Saturday and Sunday, with the strongest forecast for Coastal Otago and Clutha.
