One person has been injured in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Thames Highway and Eden Street this afternoon.
A white mini MPV and a dark grey Holden sedan collided when the driver of the white car failed to stop at a red light, a witness said.
The white car was travelling north on Thames Highway at about 2.35pm today (Tuesday, August 6), when it allegedly went through a red light, crashing into the side of the grey car travelling east along Eden Street. The white car then appeared to drift east until coming to a stop at the kerb outside LJ Hooker.
St John Ambulance, Fire and Emergency and Police were at the scene for about half an hour, until the driver of the white car was able to be removed safely, placed on a stretcher and taken away by ambulance.
The road remained open, and the driver and passenger of the other car appeared unhurt.
