Weston School bus pupils will be extra safe near the road, with new hi-vis vests, sponsored by local businesses.

Weston School principal Deidre Senior said the school was grateful to Victoria Cooper Academy of Dance, Laser Electrical, LJ Hooker Oamaru, Waitaki District Council Road Safety, David Reid Homes, Back 2 Black Accounting and Business Solutions, Sutherlands Mens and Ladieswear and Specialised Services Group, who all contributed paying for the vests.  

“They look amazing and will keep our children safe,” she said.

Deidre also thanked Carrie Hamilton from Waitaki District Council Road Safety and Graeme Sutherland from Sutherland’s Mens and Ladies Wear for their assistance in organising the vests.
