A 65-year-old man has died, following a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 1 at the intersection with Moeraki Boulders Rd last week.

The crash was reported about 5.15pm on Tuesday (February 14), with one person reported to be in a critical condition.

The man, Roland Schneider, died on Saturday (February 18).

Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash were ongoing.

Police said in a statement their thoughts were with Mr Schneider’s family and friends at this difficult time.
