Showers and cool weather to continue.
As the weekend rolls around again (woo hoo!) the weather for the next three days is forecast to be fairly unremarkable for coastal Waitaki, with patchy drizzle turning to rain and southerlies later on Friday afternoon. The temperatures today will hit an autumnal high of 11 degrees, falling to 9 degrees tonight.
Showers will clear away on Saturday morning, but cloud and southwesterlies will hang about, and skies remain cloudy on Sunday with light winds. The temperature range for the weekend will sit between 13 & 5 degrees.

Up the valley, Omarama has a high of 8 degrees and rain on Friday, falling as snow to 1800 metres with 40km/h northeasterlies rising to gale for a time. Saturday will see cloud with isolated showers becoming widespread in the afternoon with light winds.

The overnight temperature will fall to 3 degrees, rising to 10 degrees on Sunday with showers and snow to 1400m, clearing but remaining overcast with fresh northwesterlies developing.
