It's here! Christmas on Monday so if you're not madly rushing around for last minute gifts, enjoy some of the local events happening near you.

This Saturday, check out Del Mar's Summer Vibes Happy Hours, and Scott Brewing Co's live gig, Hair of the Dog for some regular local action.

If you haven't already made it around all the Light Up Your Home houses, Saturday also sees the Neighbourhood Support Christmas Bus Ride where thanks to Network Waitaki, you can take a tour around all of the homes. It's free but you have to book your seat. Use the link for details on how to do that now.

On Sunday, our Farmers Market is doing a Christmas Eve Market at the usual time.

Also on Sunday, Sunday Sets with DJ Dolum at Craftwork Brewery in Oamaru.

If you're further up the Valley, check out the Christmas Eve Shout - Otematata's Best Dam Pub.

Christmas Eve church services are on at Weston, Weston Community Church Carols and Oamaru's St Luke's Church Christmas Eve Carols & Service.

Monday is Christmas Day and St Luke's is also inviting you to their Christmas Day Service.
