GeoNet's Shaking Layers for this morning's 6.2 magnitude earthquake PHOTO: GeoNetA 'strong' 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck at 9.14am this morning, centred at a depth of 10km, 45km north of Geraldine.
The quake was felt throughout the motu, from Invercargill to Auckland according to GeoNet.
GeoNet's shaking layers measure the magnitude throughout Waitaki at between 3.3 and 4.1.
