The Property Team is passionate about effectively supporting and managing the Council's property portfolio. The portfolio is interesting and varied, looking after Commercial Property, Community Housing, Oamaru Airport, Oamaru Harbour, Development and Sales, Community Halls and Community Centres throughout the Waitaki District.
As the Property Officer, your role is to ensure Council's commercial and community properties are managed in accordance with Council's strategic property goals.
Your vibrant personality will help you create great relationships within the Property Team as well as other business units around the council. You will provide effective communication daily with a wide range of people and personalities, including community housing tenants, commercial tenants and people in our community.
You will be an expert at managing your time and have great organisational skills. You will be able to demonstrate superb accuracy in generating and recording documents, utilising the systems and databases available across the organisation.
The ability to research and analyse, and to provide accurate reports and focused information based on your investigation, in response to both internal and external property enquiries is crucial to your success in this role.

Salary Range $69,000 - $81,000
