Waitaki District Council seeks an enthusiastic, experienced Project Engineer for our Roading team. We have 1800km of roads covering diverse country, from Mountain Alps to the Ocean.


The Position

As part of a team, you will plan and deliver Roading projects. This team covers everything transport: from capital renewals through to new infrastructure and safety improvements. We require a collaborative, team player who creates balanced work programmes, presents evidence-based recommendations, and embraces high quality as a measure of team success.


About You

The preferred candidate will have:

  • NZDE (Civil), NZCE, NZ Dip (Highways / Civil) qualification or relevant tertiary level engineering qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience with project and contract management
  • Building excellent working relationships
  • Well-developed communication skills.

The salary range for this position is $74,000 - $92,000.
