Do you want to be part of a whole-of-business transformation programme that is also a career defining opportunity? At Waitaki District Council we have several opportunities to be an integral part of a significant transformation project that is unique within our industry.

We are looking for Expressions of Interest for HR Specialists and an HR Officer on a fixed-term basis (12-24 months) to help deliver our transformation programme. Reporting to the People and Culture Manager, you will be joining a dynamic team with broad responsibility for organisational change, technological change, and process change.

These HR roles will collaborate with stakeholders, including department managers, employees, and external partners, to ensure successful implementation of transformative ways of working through sound HR practices.

The purpose of these roles will be to assist with change proposals, consultation and engagement processes, internal recruitment and deployment processes, as well as other HR related activities which support Council throughout the Transformation programme.

Desired attributes include:

• Minimum 3 years' HR experience
• Demonstrated experience implementing HR processes from end-to-end, with hands-on experience in several aspect/activities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines and prioritise effectively.
• Demonstrated people skills and ability to follow procedures and resolve exceptions.
• Proven organisational skills.
• Team player who can work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and able to work independently.
