The Oamaru Opera House is a culturally significant, elegantly restored, premium heritage venue, providing quality spaces for live performance, functions, meetings and conferences and represents an artistic hub in the community.


We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic team member, with an eye for detail and the desire to provide excellent customer service. An exciting opportunity exists to be part of the dedicated team at the Oamaru Opera House as the Event Co-ordinator.


Key areas for the role include:

  • Managing clients from enquiries through to contract completion
  • Actively seeking new business for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Events
  • Co-ordinating delivery of events to a high standard
  • Management of front of house staff rosters


Key skills for the role include:

  • Minimum of three years event, conference or facility management
  • Customer service & client management
  • Excellenve time management abilities
  • Excellent computing skills, including MS and experience in the use of event management systems would be an advantage.
