Waitaki District Council's Roading Team are excited to announce the opportunity for the training and mentoring of a new Engineering Officer either in a post-graduate role or as you complete your qualifications and build your career in road engineering, within a local government environment.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who will gain hands-on experience with sealed and unsealed roads, footpaths, bridges, drainage systems, and road corridor management. We will provide the tools for you to develop an exciting career in civil engineering within a local government environment. You'll be driving relationships with civil contractors, suppliers of roading materials and engaging with the community.
About the role
The role is to support the delivery of roading maintenance, road corridor management and assigned project contracts, that are effectively planned, delivered, constructed, and commissioned in accordance with Council's objectives.
