About the Position
Act as a housing champion, lead the delivery of the Healthy Homes for All - A Community Housing Strategy 2022, identify, enable and progress opportunities in partnership to deliver housing to meet community need, develop and support initiatives to deliver healthy homes, support community development initiatives, and support the revitalisation of our suburbs to enhance the wellbeing of the Waitaki District.
We are seeking an innovative and strategic individual with good project management skills. You will need to be professional and organised, be a good communicator, able to work as part of the broader Community Development Team. Experience preparing clear and concise documents for a range of audiences, have extensive stakeholder engagement and collaboration experience to deliver this role.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the Waitaki Housing Taskforce to enable the Waitaki Housing Strategy outcomes. Underpinning this, knowledge of local government in relation to housing and planning, and interest or experience in the housing development process. Ideally someone with the communication skills and confidence to work with local community projects to support community-led housing as well as being comfortable negotiating with stakeholders to develop appropriate, cost-effective solutions.
