Waitaki Boys’ is seeking someone who has a passion for the English curriculum and has experience, or displays potential, as a leader. This is a unique opportunity to head an extremely well-resourced Department with 5 other staff in one of the busiest curriculum areas of the school.

 

This is a permanent, full-time position to start January 2024, which comes with remuneration of 2 Management Units. On-site accommodation may be available.

 

Waitaki Boys’ High school is a stunning 140-year-old boys boarding and day school, with a roll of approx. 400 students, situated in Oamaru, North Otago. The school is currently undergoing a positive transformation. We have a strong connection to this beautiful region, providing extensive extra-curricular activities for our students alongside a strong curriculum. We have a forward-thinking proactive Rector who is supported by the Board of Trustees, very active Old Boys associations and community support, fabulous teaching staff, an onsite hostel, a school farm, an active enviro-based learning facility and extensive sporting facilities and opportunities for our students.
