Topflite has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Administrator to join our family-owned bird and small animal pet food business in Oamaru.

Location: 6 Pukeuri-Oamaru Road (Industrial area in Oamaru North)


Hours: This is a full-time role with balanced working hours; however we are open to flexibility here for the right candidate. Regular hours: 7:30am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am – 2.00pm Friday (40 hours)


Purpose: The marketing administrator is primarily responsible for supporting the Marketing Team with a varied range of small (but mighty important) administrative tasks. The role also involves supporting the Customer Care and Sales teams in all marketing activity.

Key elements of the role are:

  • Engagement across all social media channels
  • Manage B2C customer care queries via social media, emails and telephone
  • Administration and maintenance of website – ensuring all product descriptions, blog posts and touch points are kept up to date
  • Manage all physical and digital marketing collateral meticulously, eg. posters, brochures and product imagery
  • Manage audience database
  • Provide back-up to customer care team for processing orders
  • Assist creating social media content for all Topflite social media platforms
  • Assist the Marketing Team with diary management


Skills, knowledge and proficiencies required:

  • Proven experience of working with Meta Business Suite
  • Ability to work independently, juggle tasks and work under pressure
  • 2+ years experience or education in marketing and communications
  • Excellent organisation, project and time management skills to hit deadlines
  • Strong English communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • A self-motivated passionate marketer who shows initiative
  • Basic understanding of Adobe suite (InDesign, Photoshop), WordPress, Shopify, Mailchimp and Microsoft programs (Word & Excel)
