Do you have experience in delivering training to diverse audiences? We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic Trainers to join our team. As a Trainer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our electorate field employees receive the necessary training to excel in their roles. If you have excellent communication skills, a strong knowledge of training strategies, and a commitment to cultural competency, we want to hear from you!

About the role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

Join our team as a Trainer and ensure all electorate field employees receive comprehensive training aligned with national requirements. As a key player in our organization, you will collaborate with managers to plan and execute training programs, prepare training areas, deliver prescribed training successfully, and provide valuable feedback. Your exceptional communication skills, cultural competency, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team will contribute to the growth and success of our workforce.

These are casual roles with an hourly rate of $33.49 (including 8% holiday pay). The targeted start date is in August 2023.

About you | Mōhou ake

To be successful in this role you will preferably be an experienced trainer, with excellent planning, communication and people skills. You can work in complex environments where there is a lot going on at one time, working with people from all walks of life. You thrive in the excitement of delivering a national event. You are available to work outside of regular business hours, including weekends. You may also be required to travel, a driver's licence is preferable.

What you'll be doing | He aha tāu e mahi ana

  • Collaborate with the Rostering and Recruitment Manager and Electorate Manager to facilitate training for our staff.
  • Prepare and set up training areas according to the Electorate Manager's guidelines.
  • Attend area training sessions to familiarize yourself with training materials and delivery requirements.
  • Complete necessary training and eLearning to stay up to date with industry standards.
  • Conduct evaluations of participants, providing constructive feedback to the Recruitment and Rostering Manager.
  • Deliver nationally prescribed training to electoral employees within the time allocated, ensuring successful outcomes.

  • The ability to present using a variety of forms, particularly PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in delivering training, utilising nationally prescribed strategies and materials.
  • Proven ability to train a diverse and culturally inclusive audience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that build effective relationships.
  • Demonstrates integrity, trustworthiness, and the ability to handle sensitive information.
  • Action-oriented with a drive for results, taking initiative to achieve goals.
  • Methodical and disciplined approach to training delivery within set timelines.
  • Access to reliable transportation
