Don't miss this exciting opportunity for an experienced cook to join the friendly team in our established community-focused early learning centre.


The position requires someone who is reliable and adaptable; willing to undertake food preparation of nutritious, tasty and appealing meals; maintains a clean and tidy kitchen; has excellent

communication skills and a positive attitude.   


The Centre is dynamic, innovative and the team is committed to providing high quality care for all families and children in the wider community.  


The role is 20 hours per week, based at our Oamaru Early Learning Centre.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain a nutritional programme that complies with policies and procedures 
  • Preparation and serving of morning and afternoon teas and lunches
  • Ensure Kitchen and dining room area is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness

 

Skills and experience 

  • Certificate in Food Safety Development or similar
  • Qualification in the field of nutrition/health and/or cooking and/or baking
  • Completion of recognised training in food preparation/cooking including kitchen hygiene
