About the role |Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga

This is a permanent full time role and our small, dynamic team of professionals operate a busy core laboratory that encompasses both community and hospital testing across Biochemistry, Haematology, Blood Bank and Microbiology. Sick of shifts? No problem, this rare opportunity offers a 1:5 on-call out of hours system, and 1:5 weekend cover, providing the perfect work life balance. And with the on-call comes a 10am start, perfect for dropping kids to the local, well-supported schools.


About you | He kōrero mōu

  • Must be registered as a Technician or Scientist with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand, or eligible for registration. We would also consider applicants who are working towards becoming qualified and registered.
  • Experience with Biochemistry, Haematology, Bloodbank and Microbiology would be an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and provide verbal feedback in a professional manner
  • To participate in the weekend and on-call roster after suitable training. Please note, weekend work attracts penal rates.
