The Waitaki Community Gardens goal is to create community spaces where life skills are shared across age, culture, and gender.

We are a team of volunteers and staff committed to empowering local community members by teaching them sustainable life skills. These include natural building, growing and cooking healthy food, simple ethics and self-sufficiency.

Volunteering

Volunteers are always welcome and it's a great way to meet new people and picking up some gardening skills.

Seasonal Market

Usually from December to mid-April, Mondays & Thursdays 12.30-3pm

Your chance to pick up some of the weekly abundance, garden-grown local food that constantly changes depending what's in season. All produce is spray-free and harvested that day.
