The Union Cricket Club is a 100+ year old club dedicated to providing a fun family atmosphere playing

The Union Cricket Club was founded in 1909 with combining of two of the Tarako Park clubs, Capulet and Tureka.

In 1915 it moved to its current home ground of King George Park and celebrated the move with a victory against the Oamaru Cricket Club, who at times would be a major rival at Senior/1st XI level.

Union first won the Senior Competition in the 1920-21 season and has now been the victors on more than 25 occasions (Tureka had previously won the senior banner twice and Capulet once).

The club has also provided Otago Representative's Duncan Drew and Neil Rushton along with numerous North Otago Representative's.

Its junior club has been very successful as well over the years and provided enjoyment to both its members and supporters.

At Easter each year Union provides a unique experience to its members when it takes part in the annual Easter Tour to Central Otago.

Since 1928, with a break of three years during the Second World War, Union has regularly travelled to 'Central' to take part in the games and enjoy the after match functions.

Union currently fields a team in the Senior, Senior Reserve and Second Grade competitions along a junior team in fourth grade.
