Key Election Dates for 2025 | Waitaki Local Body Elections

9-22 September - delivery of voting papers

9 September - start of the voting period

10 October - removal of election signs by midnight

11 October - voting closes at 12 noon

11 October - progress results available by 2pm

12 October - preliminary results announced

16 October - final results announced

If you were not enrolled by 1 August 2025 - you can still enrol and vote before 10 October (Friday). You won't get your voting papers in the mail so just get in touch with the electoral officer for Waitaki District Council - Anthony Morton, on 0800 666 048 or at [email protected] and he'll be happy to help.
