Home grown Opera! A concert version of "Dido and Æneas", an opera written by Henry Purcell in 1688.

Queen Dido of Carthage experiences the elation of love, then despair as Æneas is tricked into abandoning her.

Enjoy 55 minutes of great music with many varied choruses. Featuring superb local soloists, some upcoming talent and the Ōamaru Chorale as chorus.
