Addiction 101 covers a variety of topics aimed at increasing knowledge and understanding, while working to shift stigma and discrimination. It is particularly useful for people working in social services or any role interacting with people, but also family or whānau who are impacted by someone else’s substance use or behavior’s.
Addiction 101 is funded by Te Whatu Ora and is open to anyone without previous training who wants to learn more about addiction and recovery. The workshop guides participants on how to;
Our experienced facilitators bring a huge amount of professional and personal experience to the day, running interactive activities and stimulating discussions that bring the learnings to life. Each participant receives a workbook full of reading material and a support directory, plus a certificate of attendance (we have the top NZQA rating). Access to an e-learning refresher is also provided after the workshop.
