Like many in our community, Oamaru Steam and Rail members were shocked to hear of Arrow Koehler's passing last week.

Many of Oamaru Steam & Rail's members had worked with Arrow when she was an assistant for the club and this Sunday (August 4th) they are running the train in Arrow Koehler's memory and as a way to contribute to her family.

In keeping with Arrow's own words, "go out and be weird", they have set the theme as silly hat day and everyone is invited to join in the tribute this Sunday.

Trains will run at the usual times of 11am, 11.45am and 1pm. A donation box will be available for community contributions and a portion of the ticket prices will be donated to the family as Oamaru Steam & Rail's contribution.

The train travels from Harbourside Railway Station in Itchen Street and travels through the historic precinct, passed some of Oamaru's oldest buildings, through the old railway yard (passed the site of Oamaru's first railway station), along the bottom of the clay cliffs and terminates at the Red Sheds. The return trip is approximately half an hour including a 15 minute stop at the Red Sheds.

Family: $28 - two adults and two children
